Pronovo – One-time feed-in remuneration

Federal one-time remuneration for photovoltaic installations: base flat fee + amount per kWc. Cumulative with cantonal and utility bonuses.

Overview

Pronovo is the body mandated by the Confederation to manage financial aid for photovoltaic installations. The one-time remuneration (EIV) funds a significant share of your solar system.

How it works: subsidy paid after installation and grid connection, based on installed capacity (kWc). One-off (not recurring). 2026 amounts: CHF 700 flat fee + CHF 300-600 per kWc. Example for 10 kWc: approximately CHF 3,700 in federal subsidy.

Three Pronovo schemes: EIV for small systems (< 100 kW), GEIV for large ones (≥ 100 kW), HEIV (high one-time remuneration) for systems without self-consumption. Payment usually within 2-3 months of final file validation.

Frequently asked questions

How does Pronovo work for PV?

Pronovo manages the federal one-time feed-in remuneration (EIV). 2026 amount: base flat fee of about CHF 700 + CHF 300-600 per kWc installed. Example for 10 kWc: about CHF 3,700. Apply online after commissioning. Payment typically within 2-3 months of validation.

What are EIV, GEIV and HEIV?

EIV: small systems < 100 kW, residential. GEIV: large systems ≥ 100 kW (businesses, agriculture). HEIV: systems from 2 to 149.99 kW WITHOUT self-consumption. The scheme is chosen automatically based on your profile.

Can I combine Pronovo with other solar aids?

Yes. Several cantons add a cantonal top-up, and utilities (SIG Geneva, EWZ Zürich, Romande Énergie, IWB Basel) offer bonuses. In 2026, SIG Geneva raises its premium to 25% of the federal subsidy. Combined aid can cover 30-40% of installation cost.
