Overview
The Impulse Programme is a federal initiative to accelerate energy renovations in Switzerland by supporting high-climate-impact projects. Capped at 10 years (launched 2025).
Objectives: fast CO₂ emissions reduction, accelerated replacement of fossil (oil, gas) and electric heaters, support for ambitious renovations in multi-family buildings. Up to CHF 9,000 per project on top of the Buildings Programme.
Supported projects: heat-pump replacement of heating (especially > 70 kW electric resistance), overall envelope improvement, replacement of decentralised electric heaters. Fast-track process and strong financial push during the active window.
Conditions
Mandatory replacement of an existing fossil or electric heating by a renewable energy system. Heat pump must be electric-motor driven and serve as the main heating. Application via the same platform as the Buildings Programme.
